Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang.

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

News on Tablet Issue & Pixel Commishes coming

Sooo sadly enough my bf's brother couldn't help either BUT apparently I still got a few months of warranty left so I contacted Wacom to see if I can exchange the tablet.

Waiting for the reply now. If I can send it in I will probably not be able to do any digital drawing for a while. Smaller pixels yes, since it's possible with a mouse, but nothing too big.

Which means I will most likely open pixel commissions very soon. For one it can help me gather the shipping costs and well if I can't exchange it then I can collect some money for a new tablet. That means they will be cash only for now.
